A little more about me!

Megan Hanson, MS, CCC-SLP

I’m a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with over 16 years of clinical experience supporting children with a wide range of communication needs. My clinical interests include motor speech disorders such as Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS), speech sound disorders, articulation and phonological disorders, oral myofunctional disorders, early language development, language delay and late talkers.

I have training in motor-based treatment approaches including PROMPT and DTTC (Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing), which I use to support children with significant speech motor planning challenges, including Childhood Apraxia of Speech and suspected CAS. I am trained in DIR/Floortime® and I use this approach to support engagement, regulation, and meaningful child-led interaction within therapy sessions.

Over the years, I have worked extensively with late talkers and families navigating early communication development. I enjoy partnering closely with parents through coaching and collaborative therapy approaches, helping families feel confident supporting speech and language growth in everyday routines.

My practice is intentionally small, allowing me to provide consistent, relationship-based care for every child. Therapy is provided directly by me, ensuring continuity, individualized treatment, and a highly personalized therapeutic experience.

Outside of my practice, I am a mom of three, which has given me a deep appreciation for the real-life dynamics families navigate every day!

My goal is to provide personalized and highly effective therapy that is practical, family-centered, and meaningful for each child I work with. I truly love my work and feel honored to be trusted to support children and families at every stage of their communication journey. Thank you for being here!
