Services at Sound Speech Therapy
Comprehensive Evaluations
A comprehensive speech and language evaluation is the first step in understanding your child’s unique communication profile and determining what type of support may be most beneficial. Evaluations are individualized and designed to identify your child’s strengths, areas of need, and the factors impacting communication development.
I provide evaluations for children with a variety of speech and language concerns, including:
Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS) and other motor speech disorders
Speech sound disorders including articulation disorders and phonological disorders
Delays in motor speech development
Expressive language delays and disorders (difficulty using words, phrases, or sentences)
Receptive language delays and disorders (difficulty understanding language)
Late talking and early language delays in infants and toddlers
Oral myofunctional disorders and related speech concerns
Families often seek out evaluations specifically for concerns related to Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS). Collaboration with your child’s care team is an important part of the Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS) evaluation. With parent permission, I am happy to collaborate with your child’s school-based SLP and other providers to review evaluation findings, share recommendations, and support individualized treatment planning.
Whether you are concerned about your child’s first words, speech clarity, ability to be understood, or overall communication development, an evaluation can provide clarity and help guide the next steps.
Speech-Language Therapy
Pediatric speech therapy at Sound Speech Therapy is thoughtfully designed around each child’s individual needs, strengths, and goals. I provide therapy for children with a range of communication needs, including Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS), motor speech challenges, speech sound disorders, articulation and phonological disorders, language delays, late talking, early communication concerns, receptive and expressive language disorders, and oral myofunctional disorders. Through individualized, evidence-based therapy, my goal is to help children build meaningful communication skills while creating sessions that feel engaging, supportive, and enjoyable.
Early Language Play Group
Play groups offer a unique opportunity for caregivers and children to connect, play, and learn together in a relaxed setting. Each session focuses on a different aspect of early communication development, providing parents with practical ideas, guidance, and strategies they can use during everyday interactions with their child. There is plenty of time for questions, conversation, and building connections with other families while children play and explore.
